Art Week Writing

Producing art? Last week on week 9 we did art.I was so excited.We did four different things.First we did our paddles.We had to decorate it and paint our name black.We had painted our names so black we had to see no white.Then we had to design our paddles.We choose our own colours.Then we put red and grey glitter on. Then we coloured in our waka.The waka was red,black and white.The back was the black,the korus was white and the edge was red.We also had to paint our school name in maori which is Te Kura o nga raupareparenga. After,we did weaving.We had to choose different pictures and then colour it in.It had to be dark.Also with no white gaps in it.Then we to cut out little strips of the picture then start weaving.That made my hand numb. Then while we were cutting and weaving whaea winianna came and took some of us to make our tiki.Some did the same colour and some didn't.But the colour I did was blue and red.We also got different colour eyes.Also the colours they were was grey and black.I had a awesome feeling about it.I can't wait until next art week.The end.😄😄😄

Art Week Writing

B2's creative creations It was Monday morning I had just arrived at school, I was shaking with excitement . When I entered b2 all the tables were set up the chairs were stacked up in rows of four .suddenly the bell rang the spectacular fun had begun.firstly we designed our paddles/hoe. First for my paddles I painted the letters of my name. After that I had to do another layer of paint. Secondly , we painted the waka .I had to do lots of layers of black , white and red.We did the painting in group. Thirdly b2 did colouring then we cut the pictures up and weaved then . Then lastly we made a tiki. Mine was black and white . I hope to do art week again . By Hana .

Art Week Writing

B2's Art Week I felt so excited it was art week at school.Last week Glenholme school had art week.We started the design on our paddles.Then we started painting. Just then the bell rung and we had morning tea. After morning tea,we swapped with the other group. So then we started painting black on the waka. Meanwhile, the other group did their paddles. Then the next day we kept on swapping between paddles and the waka in the afternoon Whaea Kelly said to colour in a picture of your choice. I chose the one that looked like it was laughing so guess what I named him, LT, laughing tiki. On Wednesday day we all coloured in,painted our paddles and the waka. On Thursday we finished every thing. Then on Friday we weaved our pictures through black pieces of paper, then we laminated them. I felt proud of everybody seeing our art.
